Pawel Wilczynski Joins Baker Newman Noyes as Cybersecurity Manager

Baker Newman Noyes (BNN), a nationally recognized top 100 accounting and advisory firm, is pleased to announce the hiring of Pawel Wilczynski to its newly-created role of Cybersecurity Manager, a position that will complement BNN’s existing service offerings within its Information Systems and Risk Assurance (ISRA) practice.

“We are pleased to welcome Pawel into this exciting new role and look forward to expanding our cyber-related services as he joins our growing team,” said BNN Principal Patrick Morin, CPA, CISA, CISM, CITP, who leads the firm’s ISRA practice. “Our information services and risk assurance practice routinely intersect with cybersecurity challenges our clients face. Pawel’s years of experience and accomplishments in risk management, incident response, and vulnerability assessments make him a natural fit for this role, and his expertise and leadership will allow us to build out a full department of cyber-related assurance services here at BNN.”

Wilczynski has over two decades of IT experience, and most recently worked at a Massachusetts-based insurance company, where he developed an array of expertise and skills in cybersecurity, compliance readiness, risk assessment, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing and internal auditing. As cybercrime becomes more prevalent in today’s digital world, companies are more at risk of data breaches and stolen information. Wilczynski provides key intelligence in assessing organizations’ abilities to manage IT risk, remediate vulnerabilities and protect information from cyber threats. At BNN, Pawel works with clients to identify cybersecurity risks and help develop strategy and recommendations to reduce vulnerabilities and overall risk.

In his new role, Wilczynski will work closely with ISRA team members and serve as an additional resource for other firm practice areas, keeping our teams at the forefront of cybersecurity trends and best practices to guide and support our clients.  His information systems and risk assurance services will help clients evaluate IT environments and identify areas of risk to become proactive when mitigating cybersecurity issues. BNN will offer these services to public and private corporate clients, including financial institutions, insurance companies, regional banks and software-as-a-service providers.

Wilczynski holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Salem State University. He is an AWS certified cloud practitioner, a certified information security auditor (CISA), and a certified information security manager (CISM) by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). Wilczynski is a native Polish speaker and lives with his family in North Andover, Mass.
