Baker Newman Noyes Announces 14 Senior Promotions and One New Hire Across Four Offices

BOSTON, Mass., MANCHESTER and PORTSMOUTH, N.H. and PORTLAND, Maine  – Baker Newman Noyes (BNN), one of the nation’s top 100 accounting and advisory firms, recently shared news of 14 senior promotions and one new hire in its Boston, Manchester, Portsmouth, and Portland offices, effective July 1.

Boston, Mass.

  • Maria Alemian, MSA, of Abington, Massachusetts, was promoted to manager in the audit practice. Alemian earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, and her master’s degree in accounting from the University of New Hampshire and joined the firm in 2013. She specializes in providing assurance and accounting advisory services to clients in the healthcare, biotechnology, and life sciences industries.
  • Meredith Fuller, CPA, MSA, of Lincoln, Rhode Island, was promoted to senior manager in the audit practice. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, and her master’s degree in accounting from Suffolk University. Fuller has been with the firm since November 2016 and specializes in serving clients in the retail and healthcare industries, and is involved in our business advisory practice. She serves as a board member on the Accounting Alumni Board at Suffolk University and has volunteered at various organizations throughout Boston.
  • Sean Madden, CPA, of Methuen, Massachusetts, was promoted to manager in the audit practice. He joined the firm in July 2015, having previously been with Shatswell, MacLeod & Co. Madden earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in accounting and finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. He is a member of the firm’s financial institutions practice and specializes in serving credit unions and community banks.
  • Doni Stoyanova, CPA, of Boston, Massachusetts, was promoted to manager in the tax practice. Stoyanova attended Suffolk University and volunteers for the Boston Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition. She joined the firm in August 2017.

Manchester, N.H.

  • Emily Antonico, CISA, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was promoted to senior manager in the risk and business advisory practice. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and marketing, summa cum laude, from the University of Maine. In addition, Antonico has achieved the Advanced SOC for Service Organizations Certificate from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. Antonico specializes in systems assurance services for public and private companies in a variety of industries, as well as helping banking and financial services institutions with IT and internal controls issues.
  • Krystal Martin, CPA, MSA, of South Berwick, Maine, was promoted to manager in the risk and business advisory practice. Martin earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting, with a concentration in international business, from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of New Hampshire. She specializes in system and organization controls (SOC) examinations, including ICFR SOC 1 and Trust Services Criteria (SOC 2), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and IT general controls reviews. Martin joined the firm in August 2014.
  • Kory Reynolds, CPA, MST, of Canterbury, New Hampshire, was promoted to manager in the tax practice. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Plymouth State University in 2012 and a master’s degree in taxation from Northeastern University in 2018. Reynolds has been with the firm since 2015 and focuses on closely held businesses and their owners, primarily in the areas of professional services and real estate.

Portland, Maine

  • Mike Bailey, of Saco, Maine, was promoted to manager in the audit practice. He earned his bachelor’s degree in financial economics, with a minor in accounting, summa cum laude, from the University of Maine and joined the firm in 2014. Bailey specializes in serving financial institutions and employee benefit plans.
  • Megan Elliott, of Portland, Maine, was promoted to manager in the tax practice. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with concentrations in accounting and finance, from the University of Maine. Prior to joining the firm in June 2015 as a member of the private client services group, Elliott interned in the tax practice during the 2015 busy season.
  • Kelly Pelletier, JD, of Windham, Maine, was promoted to manager in the tax practice. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northeastern University in 2012 and her juris doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2015. Pelletier has been with the firm since September 2015 and focuses on serving high-net-worth individuals, with a specialty in fiduciary income, estate, and gift taxes. She serves as a board member for the Maine Estate Planning Council and Sexual Assault Support Services of Midcoast Maine (SASSMM).
  • Zachary Porter, CISA, of Scarborough, Maine, was promoted to manager in the risk and business advisory practice. Porter, an Honors College graduate, earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Maine. He specializes in systems assurance services for both public and private banks and financial institutions. Porter joined the firm in July 2015.
  • Lisa Varela, of Falmouth, Maine, was promoted to associate director of tax operations. Prior to taking this role, she served as the executive assistant to BNN’s managing principal for 10 years. Varela brings many years of industry and institutional knowledge to this new role.

Portsmouth, N.H.

  • Michael Casale, CPA, of Kennebunk, Maine, was promoted to manager in the tax practice. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University. He focuses on serving closely held businesses and their owners and has been with the firm since 2015.
  • Evan Dressel, MBA, CHFP, was promoted to manager in the healthcare advisory practice. Dressel earned a bachelor’s degree in health management and policy from the University of New Hampshire and a master’s degree in business administration from Southern New Hampshire University. He specializes in hospital and health system business operations improvement and strategic planning and holds the Certified Healthcare Finance Professional designation from the HFMA. Dressel is also the treasurer for the New England Society for Healthcare Strategy.
  • Jeffrey Rogers, CPA, MST, of Danvers, Massachusetts, was hired as a senior manager in the tax practice. Rogers has nearly 14 years of public accounting experience at regional and national firms. He specializes in tax compliance and consulting for closely-held businesses and their owners.
