The Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire Re-Elects Heafield

The Business and Industry Association of New Hampshire at its annual business meeting May 8 re-elected BNN principal Karl Heafield for a three-year term on the board. Heafield is a tax principal and managing principal of the Manchester office of Baker Newman Noyes.

The Business and Industry Association is New Hampshire’s statewide chamber of commerce and leading business advocate.

Aimee Plowman Becomes HFMA Fellow

In April 2012, BNN Manager Aimee Plowman became a Healthcare Finance Management Association Fellow.  HFMA fellowships (FHFMA) are awarded to individuals that currently hold the Certified Healthcare Finance Professional (CHFP) designation, have completed five years as a regular or advanced HFMA member and have contributed through volunteerism for HFMA or in the Healthcare industry.

Kristin Costa Joins Baker Newman Noyes as Senior Tax Manager

Maine’s Pine Tree Development Zone Program

Baker Newman Noyes’ state and local tax expert Merrill Barter authored an article in Mainebiz on Maine’s Pine Tree Development Zone (PTDZ) program. The PTDZ program is comprised of several tax incentives that offer Maine businesses in eligible sectors the opportunity to greatly reduce, or possibly eliminate, state taxes for up to 10 years.
