COVID-19: A Message to BNN Clients and Friends from Dayton Benway, Managing Principal

AAPC Medical Coding Course

Greetings from Baker Newman Noyes,

Since last we corresponded much has changed in the world around us. The dynamic shift in events globally, nationally, and in our hometowns has transformed our worlds in ways we could not have imagined. Keeping you and the members of the BNN family who you connect with most frequently as safe as possible is paramount for us.

I wanted to share what we are doing at Baker Newman Noyes to ensure we provide the high quality and timely service you rely on while also practicing good social distancing. After taking the most recent CDC, state, and local direction into consideration, BNN has decided to transition to a remote work at home environment for as many of our employees as possible. We anticipate maintaining a work at home environment through at least April 3. The BNN policy does not mandate working from home at this time; however, to say it is optional is a drastic understatement.

In the past week, we have invested further in our technology to allow for even more seamless efficiency that allows BNN client service professionals to work virtually with essentially the same resources as they had in the office. This includes the ability to meet with you virtually from their home. In doing this we are investing in you and in us. We are 100% confident this is a win-win proposition.

We are asking our employees to limit time working on-site with clients, and if a client visit is deemed critical, to only perform the most essential activities. If you have an on-site visit with one of our teams scheduled in the next few weeks we will be reaching out to you shortly to determine the best way to move forward.

In a similar light, we are asking you to reach out to your trusted contact at BNN before coming to a BNN office for a meeting or to drop off any documents. We will work with you in our typical flexible manner to find the best way to accomplish the task at hand.

We are closely monitoring developments related to potential extensions to IRS deadlines, and our tax experts will share any relevant information as soon as it becomes available.

We are all embarking on a new path. As we move down this road, please be patient with us in the event unexpected obstacles momentarily prevent us from meeting the high standards we demand of ourselves, and you expect of us.

The phrases “unprecedented times” and “social distancing” have become nomenclature for the world that surrounds us. At BNN the phrases quality, responsiveness, timeliness, caring for others, and winning as a team are the fabric from which we were made. We will continue to be the trusted business partner you have come to rely on, especially during these challenging times.

Thank you for continuing to trust in Baker Newman Noyes. We wish you the best of health during this time.

Best,
Dayton
