Baker Newman Noyes Promotes Jim Usseglio to Principal

MANCHESTER and PORTSMOUTH, N.H. ─ Baker Newman Noyes (BNN), one of the nation’s top 100 accounting and consulting firms, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jim Usseglio to principal in the firm’s New Hampshire tax practice. Usseglio joined BNN in 2015 through the merger with William Steele & Associates, and has been instrumental in the successful integration of the two teams.

With more than 20 years of experience in public accounting, Usseglio provides tax consulting and compliance services to a broad range of individual, partnership and corporate clients. His work focuses on middle-market, closely-held companies, with particular emphasis on partnership, real estate and New Hampshire tax law. Usseglio is a leader in federal and state taxation; in addition to authoring works published by State Tax Notes, he is a graduate adjunct faculty member at Southern New Hampshire University and is regularly tapped for speaking engagements.

“The strength of our New Hampshire tax practice is in no small way attributable to Jim’s work since joining BNN,” said Michael Stillings, principal and director of tax services at BNN. “We’re proud to welcome him as a principal, and believe he will continue to be a regional thought leader in taxation and successfully guide his clients through this time of great change in our tax system.”

Usseglio is a member of the AICPA Partnership Taxation Technical Resource Panel, and was previously appointed to serve on a special tax commission by both Governor Lynch and Governor Hassan. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Northeastern University, and holds a master’s degree in taxation and certificate in advanced studies in taxation from Bentley University. Usseglio also holds the Personal Financial Specialist designation and is a Certified Financial Planner.

He resides in Hollis, New Hampshire with his family and enjoys outdoor activities and community involvement.
