The Baker Newman Noyes Boston office adopted two families from the South Boston Neighborhood House, a nonprofit supporting families in need in the South Boston area. BNN Boston employees purchased and wrapped gifts for four children from their Christmas wish lists.

This holiday season, several Baker Newman Noyes professionals made the lives of teens at My Place Teen Center a bit brighter with gifts from their wish list. The effort was spearheaded by Cheri Lozoraitis, a team member in BNN’s international tax practice. The drive is one in a series of initiatives that BNN has participated in, including an ongoing project to provide weekly snacks for children at the Center.

Each year BNN teams up with the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester to help local families during the holiday season. This year the BNN Manchester office adopted two families for Thanksgiving and four families for Christmas. For Thanksgiving BNN Manchester employees provided all the fixings for a meal for each family and for Christmas they provided a gifts from each family member’s wish list.

Brett Seekins volunteered at the annual Coats for Seniors Drive at L.L. Bean on November 21. The drive is hosted by L.L. Bean, Goodwill Industries and the Maine Association of Area Agencies on Aging. Coats for Seniors is a Maine-based initiative to collect coats for older Mainers in need.

On September 9, a team of 5 BNN employees from the Manchester office participated in the United Way Day of Caring. They were paired up with the not-for-profit Girls at Work, Inc., which helps girls in less fortunate situations by teaching them teamwork, confidence and empowerment through woodworking. The team spent the day at the organization’s new workshop in Manchester helping to renovate the space, including framing walls for office and closet space, replacing shelving and painting. The BNN team included Monique Welch, Gabbie Stanton, Morgan Hilow, Ashley Reynolds and Vanessa Valencia.

The Baker Newman Noyes Portland office recently participated in a food drive for the Wayside Food Programs, a local not-for-profit organization working to meet the needs of those living with food insecurity in Portland and its neighboring communities. Over the course of a few weeks, employees collected a variety of non-perishable items to donate to the cause.
